Lettings technology platform Goodlord has announced a new integration with end-of-tenancy platform The Depositary, with the aim of streamlining the transition from tenancy management to tenancy conclusion.
The integration allows agents to transfer tenancy data directly from Goodlord to The Depositary, automatically creating a tenancy record and removing the need for duplicate data entry. It also enables agents to manage end-of-tenancy tasks including tenant communications, checkouts, cleaning coordination and deposit returns from within the Goodlord platform.
Goodlord said the move comes as administrative pressures continue to weigh on letting agents. Its latest research found 76% of agents said the amount of administration involved in their day-to-day work was limiting, while admin and compliance accounted for a fifth of operational bottlenecks.
Tom Goodman, managing director at Goodlord, said: “End-of-tenancy is one of the most operationally complex and time-intensive stages of the rental journey – and one that’s traditionally been fragmented across multiple systems. This integration with The Depositary removes that friction.
“By connecting move-out workflows directly with Goodlord, agents can eliminate duplicate admin, reduce errors and manage the entire tenancy lifecycle in one place.”
He added: “It’s a natural evolution of our platform – and another step towards giving agents the tools they need to operate efficiently, without being limited by admin and technology bottlenecks.”
Kristjan Byfield, co-founder of The Depositary, said the integration would help agents “massively reduce their administrative burden” while giving landlords and tenants “a first-class, digital experience”.
