TDS workshops and CPD go online

Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) is bringing its most popular workshops and Continued Professional Development (CPD) training into the virtual environment with the launch of TDS Academy Online.

Hundreds of landlords and letting agents have already benefitted from the academy’s face to face courses that give all delegates a deeper understanding of the finer points of tenancy deposits, the legislation and tenancy deposit disputes.

“The last few months have shown us all how effective virtual events can be when face-to-face attendance isn’t possible. The launch of TDS Academy is a natural step forward following the popularity of our webinars and seminars during lockdown.” explained John King, Head of Member Services at TDS.

The online academy kicks off its calendar of events with two courses in September 2020.

The Adjudication Workshop and Foundation Course in Tenancy Deposit Legislation will be split into two 1.5 hour sessions respectively and will qualify for three hours of certificated Continued Professional Development (CPD) per course.

The courses are ideal for property managers, administrators, inventory suppliers and landlords.

“We know that online training differs greatly from traditional face-to-face learning. The TDS Academy team will be delivering the teaching program in a positive and inclusive environment, giving all delegates the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the trainers throughout each session,” added King.

The TDS Academy Online Foundation Course in Legislation will run over two consecutive days on the 16th and 17th September 2020. The two sessions will cover all aspects of tenancy deposit protection law.

The TDS Adjudication Workshop will run over the 21st and 22nd September 2020 and will take delegates through the evidence an adjudicator looks for within a tenancy deposit dispute case.

The two sessions will deliver useful tips on managing the end of tenancy process when the parties cannot agree on the deposit distribution.
