Strutt & Parker and Countrywide brand to offer virtual reality viewings

Strutt & Parker and Urban Spaces are set to become the latest to offer virtual reality viewings to buyers.

Strutt & Parker yesterday announced on Twitter that it is rolling out virtual reality and invited people to go along to its office in South Kensington, London, to try it out.

Meanwhile, Countrywide brand Urban Spaces will be introducing the service using technology from developers Vieweet on its mobile listings from next month.

Simon Charnock, director of Urban Spaces, said: “Virtual reality removes the barriers and complexity of viewing property by bringing the experience to our customers’ computer or device.

“At Urban Spaces, we believe virtual reality and 3D photography experiences will transform the way our industry interacts with our customers. This is why we will be introducing VR experiences on all of our mobile site property listings in July.

“In addition, this technology will allow our customers to attend engaging and memorable live virtual appointments from anywhere in the world with our service artist Team talking them through every step of the way.”

It follows the launch of virtual reality viewings at Foxtons’ Islington branch for the Fulham Reach development in west London. The firm is looking at extending virtual reality viewings to other offices and properties.

Nottingham agent Walton & Allen, which launched a virtual reality service at the same time as Foxtons last month, is also planning on rolling it out across the portfolio of its three branches in the area after seeing lots of interest from buyers and sellers.

I suggest agents crack Actual Video Tours first. See an example of my agent shot tour below. it might not be HD quality but good enough as a pre-view for sales and lettings when combined with quality still photos etc

SEO benefits are brilliant and you can promote instant video alerts via your own website.

Viewing levels halved, take up levels increased.

Average close to 200 tours per property.

If google like them, so should you.
