Spicerhaart adopts fully remote strategy

Spicerhaart is continuing its lettings expansion programme with the establishment of a new operations team.

Remotely based from Cardiff to Colchester, and Birmingham to Brighton, the new team is responsible for all operational systems and procedures, as well as compliance.

The team is part of a wider restructure, recently announced, which includes giving property management equal weighting to residential lettings, as well as bringing in additional home-working partners, who are focused on building long-lasting relationships with landlords and tenants.

Kelly-Anne Flynn, operations director, commented: “What we’re doing is different to other large lettings businesses, centralising our operations and compliance, enabling our lettings and property management specialists to get on with their job.

“We’re already seeing the fruits of our labour and are getting excellent results.

“A fully remote operations team means that we have been able to attract some of the best quality talent and are agile enough to be in amongst our network, identifying challenges and opportunities from the coal face.

“Our operations team has been designed to provide unparalleled support to our new lettings and property management structure; from providing legal guidance, compliance support and implementing new processes and procedures, to ensuring our systems and external partnerships are aligned with our strategic objectives and ambitious growth plans.

“Centralising this support has enabled our lettings and property management specialists to focus on providing the best service to our customers and we are already seeing some record breaking results.”

Spicerhaart lettings MD, Satwant Basi, added: “Our Operations Team is the glue that binds everything together. They are people with industry and subject matter experience, working in innovative ways to move our business forward. They have made exceptional progress as we continue towards achieving our ambitious target of 50,000 managed units.

“As well as investing substantially in our teams and our IT systems, we will also be appointing new leaders to help further develop our business. We want to be the employer of choice.”
