Rightmove webinar series for agents and home-movers

Rightmove’s new webinar series for agents has had over 8,000 attendees tune in live or on catch up over the past three weeks.

The webinars have offered advice from industry experts on topics from legislation and conveyancing through to mental health and advice to keep sellers engaged.

This morning (Thursday 9th April) at 10am Josh Phegan will be talking about how to try and overcome the challenges in lettings and offering help on what to say to landlords and tenants.

Rightmove has also started a series of webinars to help home-movers in response to increasing numbers of questions from people looking for help. The first, hosted by Rightmove’s Customer Insights Manager Dan Barea and NAEA’s Mark Hayward, took place last week and had 1,300 people sign up and almost 4,000 views on catch up so far.

The next webinar is for tenants, on Tuesday 14th April with David Cox from ARLA.

Agents can share the first seller webinar with their clients now:

These webinars are part of a wider content series on Rightmove that centres around making sure homeowners and tenants know how agents are keeping deals together and helping clients in such challenging circumstances.

Miles Shipside, Rightmove commercial director, says: “We’ve had some great feedback saying how valuable and motivating agents are finding these webinars.

“I know it’s a massively challenging time, but some agents are telling me they’re coming up with new ways to keep current deals moving, and, importantly, communicating to their vendors and landlords that they are working hard to do so.

“We know it’s important that we get that message out to the millions of people still searching on Rightmove, and we hope the first webinar for sellers helped to give them more confidence that their deals will still go through eventually because of the hard work from agents.”

April’s agent webinar schedule:

April 14: Coronavirus: Legal & Compliance Update – Sales, with NAEA Propertymark

April 15: Scottish lettings legislation update – with Propertymark’s Daryl McIntosh

What you can do with Rightmoves 75% profit margin, money to waste. How about charging sensible monthly portal fees. Not that I’m bothered, notice given and off end of the month.   Me no more a lapdog.

Really good content. i found them to be motivational, insightful and supportive.

The consumer one was particularly interesting. Pro agency, and encouraging consumers to engage with agents.

well worth the investment in time and no selling agenda which makes a change for this kind of thing.

God forbid I’m just a rational estate agent trying to eek as much value out of my suppliers as I can?!

I really like your take on the issue. I now have a clear idea on what this matter is all about. But I want to discuss writing problems that the students are facing in the education field.
