Property journalist Graham Norwood aims to raise money for Samaritans

We know that life can sometimes be incredibly tough. Thanks to the dedication of more than 20,000 volunteers, Samaritans can be there for anyone, whatever they are going through and whenever they are struggling to cope.

They are at the heart of local communities, working with schools, workplaces, railways, prisons and hospitals to offer training and support, preventing suicide and helping people turn their lives around.

Their life-saving work would not be possible without the extraordinary generosity of event participants, including well-known property journalist Graham Norwood, who is an occasional volunteer at the Samaritans.

Norwood has signed up to take part in a fundraising exercise in July where volunteers will walk at least 26.2 miles in a Samarathon – he insists that he is not responsible for the pun!

“The object is to raise funds for my local Exeter branch,” said Norwood. “Like so many charities, our traditional fundraising has been very tough over the past 18 months or so.”

Everybody at Property Industry Eye would like to congratulate Norwood and naturally wish him the best of luck on meeting his fundraising target.

He is asking agents to donate via his fundraising page.

Look out for the picture of Norwood with his walking companion!
