It is always commendable when local agents back worthy local events such as Christmas fairs.

As Winkworth are doing in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, with the evidence spotted by our local spy.

But do – or did –  Winkworth really mean ‘various stools’?

Oh Matron! (Didn’t Hattie Jacques always ask patients how their stools were that morning?)

Anyway, we think Winkworth were probably referring to the different stalls at the event, in a community centre.

The sign itself now appears to have been taken down, but not in time to stop this photo being uploaded to a local Borehamwood Facebook page.
