Online estate agent intending to ‘redefine’ property is set to launch crowdfunding campaign

An online estate agent is to launch a crowdfunding campaign.

Nu:move says on Seedrs that it has marketed over 10,000 properties worth over £3bn, adding: “Our aim is to have a franchisee in all major cities allowing us to bridge the gap that still exists between traditional estate agents and online estate agents.”

It is inviting potential investors to pre-register for early access to its crowdfunding campaign “and join our mission to redefine how people buy, sell and let property”.

The business does not say how much it is looking to raise.

Nu:move has been around for some time, and already has some franchisees listed on its site, and also mentions presences internationally. It is currently selling UK properties from £699 with lettings from £149.

According to Companies House, it was incorporated in December 2013.

Based in Telford, Shropshire, its directors include Parminder and Karan Batth.

Its last accounts, for 2018, show it had assets of over £2m.

i wonder if Nu:move will wear those long belts and baggy jeans that were worn in the early 000’s when Nu:metal was a thing.

    ‘Redefine’

Is that more bigly than ‘game changer’? Or even more bigly than ‘disruptor’?

    I’m confused.

“Nu:move says on Seedrs that it has marketed over 10,000 properties worth over £3bn…”

But Nu:move says on its’ website that it has SOLD properties so far with a value of £500m.

Is it just me – or would anyone else agree that’s a 1:6 ratio in real terms of sales to listings?

They would need all the luck in the world to get that past savvy investors – and it still would be nowhere near enough.

But of course they are numptyfunding – so savvy investors don’t come into it.

    Erm…

    Just checked websites for stock.

Rightmove shows 39 – of which none are SSTC.

Zoopla shows 46 – of which one is SSTC

Their own site?  FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY, apparently.

    Yeah… right.

Are you saying Nu:move are disrupters or just “disinformationists”?

You must be mistaken PeeBee – on the front page of their website it states “See ALL our properties on Rightmove, Zoopla…” etc (my emphasis) – they are a hybrid agent – they couldn’t possibly be misleading the public!
