New leadership team takes position at Savills UK as firm prepares for next stage

New leadership has been put in place at Savills UK.

James Sparrow becomes CEO and Richard Rees becomes managing director.

The promotions have been well flagged and  follow the announcement at the beginning of this year that its long-standing group CEO, the hugely successful Jeremy Helsby, is stepping down from his global role at the end of this year.

His successor is to be Mark Ridley, who now becomes deputy group CEO.

Ridley has been running Savills UK until now.

The UK business employs over 5,500 people, and includes all Savills’s UK activities, from commercial, to residential, rural, planning, and residential development.

Sparrow said: “”I am delighted to be taking over the leadership of the UK business with Richard Rees. It is hugely excisitng.

“Savills UK has enjoyed extraordinary growth and success under Mark’s guidance and on behalf of the UK board and the entire company, we want to thank him for all he has done.

“We look forward to working with him as he progresses to lead the global firm.”
