The main winners in this year’s Best Estate Agent Guide were unveiled on Friday at the EA Masters Event.

They are:

Sales: Kinleigh Folkard and Hayward

Lettings: Manning Stainton

Sales and Lettings: Simpsons (of Abingdon, Oxfordshire)

The Supplier of the Year award winners are:

Small: Dr Photo (John Durrant, former estate agent who now specialises in property photography)

Medium: Van Mildert (tenancy referencing and other services)

Large and Overall: SDL Group (offers a number of partnership services to agents, including auctions and property management)

Very special congratulations to Simon Bradbury, who won the outstanding individual contribution award.

The Best Estate Agent Guide will be updated very shortly with all this year’s winners, and will reveal those branches that have been assessed as highly rated, excellent, and exceptional (the top 5%).

EA Masters organiser Peter Knight said the feedback from this year’s event has been “incredible”.

He said: “I’ve never had so many positive messages or seen such a level of activity on social media.

“Whilst some agents were disappointed not to win, overall most seemed to feel that the awards truly highlighted the best estate agents in the country.

“This reflects that the process has more rigour than any other assessment and is all inclusive – every single branch and brand was either automatically entered or could apply to be included.

“Every single listing, branch and brand performance on Rightmove was analysed and 50,000 mystery shops were undertaken to identify the best.

“The winners can truly reflect on their achievement knowing the process is the same for all.”

The two-day event began last Thursday with two masterclasses.

The first, by Josh Phegan and Alexander Phillips, described how to become a major fee-earner. The second, by Knight and Peter Fuller, discussed how to take an estate agency business to a valuation of ten times EBITDA.

The following day’s conference started at 8.30am and culminated in the awards.

Altogether, the event drew 1,173 delegates over the two days.
