Martin & Co in Canterbury has a new owner

Angie Collins has taken on the Canterbury branch of national sales and lettings agent Martin & Co after completing a resale process with previous owner Kevin Hall.

As part of the deal, Collins has retained Martin & Co Canterbury’s Castle Street premises, as well as its existing staff and managed portfolio of more than 240 properties.

Collins, who is a chartered management accountant and previously owned a catering company in Canterbury, said: “I have always had a keen interest in property and al-so missed the cut and thrust of running my own business, so when the opportunity came up to buy Martin & Co Canterbury, I had to go for it.

“Martin & Co is well established, and franchisees are well supported and have built great businesses under the brand.

“Everyone deserves a place to call home and I want to ensure they have the best possible experience when letting or buying a home through our branch.”

Collins’ most recent role was working with a number of Kent companies as a strategic development and financial management business consultant.

Hall, meanwhile, will now focus his efforts his other branch of Martin & Co, in nearby Ashford.

Penny Sanders, head of franchising at The Property Franchise Group, said: “I am delighted that Angie has come on board as she brings a wealth of business experience to Martin & Co and we’ll will be supporting her to continue to grow and develop her business further.”
