Long service award for agent’s chief executive

David Westgate, group chief executive at Andrews Property Group, has been presented with a ‘Long Service Award’ in recognition of his 20 years at the property firm.

Westgate joined the firm in 1997 after a previous ten years in the industry.

His first responsibility was to develop the lettings side of the business, which originally consisted of five lettings offices and a portfolio of 100 landlords.

Today, Andrews Lettings and Management has extended its branch network more than seven-fold and works with thousands of landlords.

Westgate was also responsible for establishing and growing the group’s specialist RICS practice, Landmark, which launched ten years ago, and additionally spent three years managing Andrews’ estate agency business.

He was appointed to his current role last year, succeeding Michael Robson who stepped down after 35 years.

Westgate has additionally been a trustee of the Andrews Charitable Trust for the past 16 years and since February of this year is a board member at The Property Ombudsman.

Westgate was presented with his long service award by Andrews’ chairman Jim Glover.
