Letting fees ban is now just four weeks away in Wales

The tenants’ fee ban is now four weeks away from being enacted in Wales under the Renting Homes (Fees etc) (Wales Act.

ARLA is putting on two roadshows this week to help letting agents.

The first is on Wednesday in Cardiff, and the second in St Asaph, Denbighshire, on Thursday.

ARLA boss David Cox said: “Yesterday marked the four-week countdown to when the Welsh Tenant Fees ban comes into effect.

“It is essential that agents get to grips with this legislation, understand the impact it will have on their business, and prepare.

“To help agents, we have two roadshows. The events will go through the intricacies of the ban, providing key insights on how businesses can thrive in a post tenant fees world, and we urge all agents to attend as we rapidly head towards September.”

Good luck,  if anything like the mess that we have here, be ready for more time wasters, more admin and lots of ways to be tripped up on the way to actually getting a tenant moved in.
