iamsold tops the charts for auction results

Auction management provider iamsold is once again top UK auctioneer for residential property lots sold and capital value raised in 2019, according to the latest Essential Information Group (EIG) league table.

The company sold a total of 3,842 lots, a substantially higher volume than in 2018 when it sold 2,172.

Of the 3,842 there were 2,867 sold online. The remainder were sold ‘in the room’.

The value of the capital raised in the 2019 sales was £490,376,379 an increase of 188% year on year.

iamsold dominates the EIG league table with over 60% overall market share (based on top 5 providers) in capital value and units sold; selling more than all other online auctioneers combined.

Jamie Cooke, Managing Director of iamsold, said:

“2019 was a hugely successful year for us as we continued to invest in people and technology”

“2020 started out just as well, as prior to the announcements of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, year to date sales were tracking 36% ahead of 2019.

“Fast forward to now and performance has undoubtedly been impacted, yet our online auction offering is showing good levels of resilience so far, when compared to the property market as a whole.

“As consumers are spending more time online and looking for remote tech-based solutions, we are confident that we have a proposition that will enable our agents to offer a viable alternative during this crisis and beyond”.
