Hortons goes carbon neutral

Hortons is the latest estate agency to show their commitment to combating climate change by off-setting their environmental impacts.

In a bid to reduce their carbon footprint, Hortons has joined forces with Ecologi, an environmental company focused on reducing the amount of CO2 present in the atmosphere.

The independent estate agency has pledged to offset their CO2 emission through funding worldwide environmental projects, resulting in a totally carbon neutral office. The company has also committed to planting one tree for every new property that they put on the market, giving vendors and landlords the opportunity to also contribute towards positive change.

Adam Horton, CEO at Hortons, said: “As a company we’ve started to become more conscious about our impact on the environment. It’s something that many of our employees are mindful of individually, so we have collectively decided to become carbon neutral as a mark of our commitment to a greener and more environmentally friendly world.”

“Alongside this pledge, we also use sustainable for sale boards which are made from recycled materials. Moving forwards, we will be looking at other ways we can reduce our impact on the environment. We recognise as our company grows, so will the challenge to remain carbon neutral and so our commitment will be ever evolving.”
