HMO landlady blogger to run legal workshops for agents and landlords

Specialist legal training company Easy Law Training has appointed ‘HMO landlady’ blogger Serena Thompson to develop and run a new workshop programme.

This will be in the south in Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset.

Easy Law Training, whose Eye-supported annual conference in Cambridge has sold out, specialises in legal training and runs regular workshops on various topics such as tenancy agreements, repairing obligations, ending tenancies and HMOs.

Until now, workshops have only run in the eastern region (where husband and wife team Tessa Shepperson and Graeme Gee live) and in London.

However, with the help of Thompson they intend to run regular workshops in various locations south of London from the Guildford and Gatwick area down to the south coast.

Shepperson said “We are thrilled to be working with Serena who is the ideal person to help us develop our training services in this important area.”

Thompson said: “With the constant changes in the law and regulations for the rented sector, proper legal training is essential for both landlords and letting agents.”

Easy Law Training has an online survey for those in the southern region to give their views on the type of training they would like and the locations they would prefer.

The survey is here
