Hit for six! Home buyers make first offer after viewing six properties

Home buyers typically view between three and six properties before making an offer on the home they want, research shows.

A poll by agent Your Move of 5,000 home owners found that 41% of buyers viewed six or more properties before buying their most recent home and that 80% viewed more than three properties.

Buyers in the south-east seem to need the most choice, with 51% viewing six or more, closely followed by 48% of buyers in the south-west.

In contrast, in the north-west, just 30% of buyers were likely to view six or more and buyers in Wales were most likely to buy the first property they saw.

Lets not forget  The Bricks say ther average buyer views within 14 days of a property  listing.  No consolation for those  713 properties currently listed on Bricks which  are still available for  10 months or longer .The crunch time for those who have chosen to  defer payment  for n 10 months . I guess local police are undertaking  a thorough search of local hedgerows for those early viewers who got lost on the way back
