A year ago, on March 19, 2014, we launched Property Industry Eye.

The positive reception that it received from readers and supporting clients was beyond anything we could have hoped for.

Its growth has been spectacular in terms of readership, page views, quantity of reader comments on news stories, and advertising build.

The bedrock of Eye has been, and will continue to be, the quality of its journalism and news reporting. Eye is genuinely and proudly independent of any and all of its advertising clients.

No one can buy our editorial and no one can influence what we report.

We are developing the content of Eye to make it a first-class information resource for our readers and we have been very fortunate in attracting high-quality contributors to our pages. We thank them for helping to make Eye so successful.

Twelve months on from launch, Eye has captured a substantial share of the market and has taken a leading position in bringing daily news to the residential property industry.

It will continue to grow during its second year and readers will see some exciting changes in the coming months – including changes in styling and design that will make our pages even more readable.

This week we were at the LSL Property Press Awards in London – the same event where we had been on the night before we launched Eye in 2014.

That evening a year ago, our editor Ros Renshaw received a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award. This year Eye was in the shortlist of nominations for Property Trade Magazine of the Year. That’s quite an achievement for what is still a relative newcomer to the market!

We could not have built Eye without the support and encouragement of you, the readers, and we are truly grateful for your participation.

Please keep reading us and spread the word to your colleagues that Eye is the place to come for all the news that is news in the residential property industry.
