Chan Khangura

Whitegates Huddersfield has expanded its presence in West Yorkshire with the acquisition of Harvey & Ryall Estate Agency.

The deal sees franchise owners Chan Khangura and Kashmir Khangura take on Harvey & Ryall’s property portfolio, with the business to be integrated into the existing Whitegates operation.

Harvey & Ryall, owned by Keon and Emma Ryall, has built a residential sales and lettings business serving vendors, landlords, buyers and tenants across the region. Whitegates said clients will continue to receive support throughout the transition.

The acquisition is the latest step in the Huddersfield franchise’s growth strategy, which has combined organic expansion with a series of acquisitions since Chan and Kashmir Khangura became Whitegates franchise owners in 2012.

Following completion, Harvey & Ryall’s clients will have access to Whitegates’ sales, lettings, marketing and compliance services, supported by the wider Whitegates franchise network.

Khangura, managing director of Whitegates Huddersfield, Brighouse, Mirfield and Pontefract, said: “Harvey & Ryall has built an excellent reputation within the local market, and Keon and Emma have developed strong, long-standing relationships with their clients.

“We are delighted they have chosen Whitegates to continue the next chapter for the business. Our priority is to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining the personal service their customers value. This acquisition further strengthens our presence across the region and supports our continued ambition for sustainable growth.”

Keon Ryall added: “After careful consideration, we wanted to ensure our clients and portfolio would be looked after by a business that shares our values and commitment to customer service. Chan and Kashmir have demonstrated an impressive track record of successfully integrating independent agencies while continuing to deliver a personal service.”

This latest acquisition continues Whitegates Huddersfield’s programme of strategic expansion, which includes integrating independent agencies and strengthening its managed property portfolio across West Yorkshire.

Rob Smith, group managing director of The Property Franchise Group, commented: “Chan and Kashmir continue to demonstrate the value of a clear, long-term acquisition strategy. Their ability to identify high-quality local businesses and integrate them successfully into their operation is a testament to the strength of their team and their reputation within the market.”
