Bidwells appoints head of residential research

Scott Cabot

Bidwells has appointed Scott Cabot as its new head of residential research.

Cabot joins from CBRE, where he spent 12 years in the firm’s UK research team, most recently serving as head of residential research. Before that, he worked for London developer Aitch Group and previously held wealth management roles at Standard Chartered Bank and W1M.

At Bidwells, Cabot will work alongside research director Sue Foxley and the wider research team, providing residential market analysis and strategic insight for clients.

The firm said his work will focus on the relationship between the UK’s science and technology sectors and demand across the residential property market.

Sue Foxley, Research Director at Bidwells, said: “He [Cabot] will be instrumental in shaping our residential research strategy, producing thought leadership and market analysis that gives our clients a clearer view of the forces shaping demand, from land and planning through to investment and the living sectors.”

Cabot added: “Bidwells has built a distinctive research platform, and the opportunity to lead and develop its residential expertise was compelling. The interaction between the UK’s innovation economy and its housing markets is one of the most interesting questions in real estate right now, and the business has a genuine vantage point on which to build.”
