Dwelly has completed its ninth acquisition of 2026 with the purchase of Kensington-based lettings agency Shaws.
The deal adds around 250 fully managed properties to Dwelly’s network, taking its nationwide portfolio under management to more than 14,000 properties.
Established in 1994, Shaws provides sales and lettings services across Kensington, West Kensington, Barons Court, Hammersmith and Fulham, with particular expertise in the Queen’s Club Gardens market.
The acquisition follows Dwelly’s previous London deals involving Settio and Eden Harper as the group continues to expand its presence in the capital.
Shaws managing director Dan Glewis will remain with the business following the acquisition.
Dwelly said it plans to retain the agency’s existing local expertise and team while also introducing its technology and operational processes.
The group also said the acquisition reflected its confidence in London’s rental market.
Sam Humphreys, head of M&A at Dwelly, commented: “Continuing to invest in London is a hugely important part of our long-term strategy as the capital’s rental sector continues to be underpinned by exceptionally strong demand for high quality homes.
“With that in mind, Shaws is exactly the type of business we’re looking to partner with across London. It has built an outstanding reputation within one of the capital’s most established property markets and, just as importantly, it has an exceptional leadership team who will continue driving the business forward.”
According to Humphreys, retaining the team had been an important part of the transaction, citing Shaws’ existing landlord relationships and knowledge of the local market.
“Our role is to support them as they build on that success and continue growing the business,” he added.
