Exclusive interviews from launch of new PRS report

1 Property Tribes Exclusive – interviews from the Kate Faulkner’s report launch in London

On February 4, Property Tribes was invited to the launch of Kate Faulkner’s new independent report into the Private Rented Sector, which looks at the PRS from all perspectives.

Supported by leading members of the industry, the analysis looks at the impact of proposed housing polices on the PRS, the wider roles and responsibilities of others involved in the rental process and how the PRS needs to change to meet the needs of an increasing tenant population.

Click on the link to watch exclusive interviews with Kate, David Cox of ARLA, Peter Bolton King of RICS, and Alan Ward of the Residential Landlords Association, who all gave their reactions to the report recommendations.

2 Rent Controls are bad for the UK

3 How to become a lettings agent

This community-generated guide to becoming a lettings agent shares a lot of useful insights on being a lettings agent and the challenges when starting out.

4 Professional development

Just to give the heads up that I will be speaking on managing your online reputation at the first ever NALS ‘Northern’ Conference in York on March 5.

With most industry events being so “London-centric” it’s great to see NALS reaching out beyond the capital and being more inclusive to agents in the regions.

The NALS Conference is open to anyone with an interest in the private rented sector and you can find out all the details and book your tickets by visiting the Conference micro-site

My quote of the week is:

“I didn’t tell you it would be easy. I told you it would be worth it.”
