An estate agent specialising in trophy properties in north west London has made a rather strange claim that that the Queen’s eventual funeral will be the “biggest sell-out gig of the last 100 years”.

Trevor Abrahmsohn, chairman and founder of well-known estate agency Glentree, made his comments as part of a celebratory newsletter issued on the eve of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations

He wrote: “Sometimes we don’t know when we’re well-off. The Queen is one of our most popular global brands, revered and respected in the UK, Commonwealth and throughout the world.

“Let’s be honest – her funeral (may it not be for many years) will be the biggest sell-out gig of the last 100 years.”

There have been growing concerns about the Queen’s health in recent months. The 96-year-old monarch has faced ongoing episodic mobility problems, stretching back to last autumn, and now uses a walking stick.

However, the Queen appeared to be on form during the four-day long Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
