Estate agency recruiter zaps rumours that he has gone out of business

The owner of a recruitment business that specialises in property has totally denied rumours that he has closed.

Dan Woolley, of Zap Recruitment, said he remains very much in business.

He said the rumours started when the business had difficulty with its phones.

As a result, he said, it shut for one day last week.

“It is not the case that we have closed,” he said. “We are still very much here, and are very busy.”

He did say that the business has downsized slightly, but said this was only because “a few staff” had not worked out.

Woolley said he was not surprised his competitors had spread the rumours of the supposed closure, but said he would not have done it to them.

He also denied having been banned as a director, or using any other name.

On Companies House, Zap Recruitment is listed as insolvent, having gone into creditors’ voluntary liquidation last December.

However, Woolley said that he had taken on the brand, and is actively trading.

Zap Recruitment is based in Paul Street, London EC2, but claims to offer a nationwide service.
