Durden & Hunt has officially opened its seventh branch with the launch of a new office in Leigh-on-Sea.

The branch was formally opened by the deputy mayor of Southend, Cllr Anne Jones, during a launch event attended by local residents, businesses and community groups.

The event also raised more than £500 for Leigh Lionesses FC, the girls’ football club sponsored by the estate agency. In addition to proceeds from a charity raffle, Durden & Hunt pledged to donate £10 for every property valuation booked during the event and has extended the initiative until the end of July.

The new branch is led by branch partner Andy Binnington and will serve Leigh-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Chalkwell, Rayleigh, Thorpe Bay, Hadleigh, Langdon Hills and the surrounding areas.

Founders Alex Durden and James Hunt said the new office forms part of the company’s continued expansion across Essex and London.

The opening takes the agency’s network to seven branches, established across Essex and London over the past seven years, as the business continues to expand both in the UK and internationally.

James Hunt, founder of Durden & Hunt, said: “Opening our Leigh-on-Sea branch marks another important milestone for Durden & Hunt. Leigh has always been a location we wanted to be part of, not only because of its exceptional property market but because of its strong sense of community.

“Our ambition has always been to create offices that become part of the places they serve. So seeing so many residents and local businesses supporting our launch was a fantastic welcome and we’re excited to build lasting relationships across Leigh-on-Sea.”

Andy Binnington, branch partner at Durden & Hunt Leigh-on-Sea, added: “The support we received from the local community and fellow businesses exceeded our expectations. It was fantastic to see so many people come together to celebrate the opening of our new branch while raising money for such a worthwhile local cause.”
