Websters Estate Agents has expanded into the North Norfolk market after acquiring the residential sales business of Watsons in Sheringham.

The deal includes Watsons’ prominent high street branch and marks Websters’ latest expansion. Founded in 1890, Watsons has operated in Sheringham for more than a century and is one of the area’s longest-established estate agencies.

Websters said it will continue operating from the Sheringham office as it integrates the business into its network.

The acquisition gives Websters its third branch following the opening of its Drayton office in 2025 and marks its entry into the North Norfolk coastal market.

The company has expanded through a series of acquisitions over the past five years, including First Lettings, Savannah Estates, Langford Estates and Pendefords.

As part of the expansion, Websters will also introduce its Signature by Websters brand to Sheringham. Led by Jonathan Weeks, the division specialises in the sale of higher-value and distinctive homes.

The Sheringham branch will continue to operate from its existing premises, providing residential sales services to buyers and sellers under Websters’ ownership.

Charlie Webster (pictured left), director of Websters, commented, “We are incredibly proud to be taking on the Watsons residential sales business and continuing its remarkable legacy in Sheringham. This move represents an exciting new chapter for us, as we expand into the North Norfolk coast – an area we’ve long admired.

“Our aim is to build on the strong foundations already in place, support the local community, and deliver the exceptional service and results that Websters is known for.”
