Online agent eMoov yesterday reached £2m in its fundraising campaign.
The amount is said to make it the biggest proptech crowdfunding raise in history.
The firm had originally set out to raise £1m by the end of September in exchange for 5% equity in the business – giving eMoov a valuation of £20m.
Yesterday afternoon, the pitch on Crowdcube reached £2,036,760, from 536 investors, equivalent to a 9.68% stake in the business.
Today is the last day of the pitch.
One proptech analyst, Eddie Holmes, said that eMoov’s fundraising was among the top five for all types of businesses on Crowdcube, and that if the total sum reaches £2.5m, it would be in the top five equity crowdfunding campaigns in Europe.

Whatever your opinion on the model, I most say that the video, brochure and releases by Russell Quirk were top notch marketing. Time will tell whether or not it’s a good investment, but credit where it’s due. Mr Quirk knows how to sell his business.
