Matthew Fox appointed to head up Dacres in Saltaire 

Yorkshire’s largest independent estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley, has appointed estate agent, Matthew Fox, to head up its Saltaire office.

Fox, who grew up in Saltaire and currently lives in Bingley, has spent the last five years working as an agent in Shipley.

Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Saltaire office, which has occupied a prominent position on Bingley Road for more than 20 years, sells all types of homes throughout Saltaire, as well as operating in Shipley, Nab Wood, Allerton, Thornton, Clayton, Queensbury, Heaton, Thackley, Idle and Greengates.

Fox said: “Moving to Dacre, Son & Hartley is an opportunity to join a leading independent estate agent that is very highly regarded in the local area and beyond. The Saltaire office also covers a wide geographical area, which makes this a role with plenty of potential, especially because there is so much demand in the market from homebuyers.

“Most homes are selling in a matter of days at the moment, and first-time buyers are particularly active snapping up three bedroom semi-detached homes. Traditional terraces priced between £150,000 and £300,000, are also highly sought-after, which makes it an ideal time for anyone thinking about selling.”

BPF announces new junior vice president

Jessica Hardman, head of European Real Estate Portfolio Management and Head of UK Real Estate Group at DWS Group, has been announced as junior vice president at the British Property Federation (BPF).

The announcement sees Hardman join the current BPF leadership team of president Guy Grainger, JLL’s global head of sustainability services & ESG and vice president Mark Allan, chief executive of Landsec.

Hardman brings more than 21 years of experience in real estate to the role and will work as part of the presidential team to highlight the real estate sector’s central role in levelling-up and support the drive to net zero carbon across the built environment.

The BPF recently launched its Net Zero Pledge – an industry-wide initiative to cut carbon emissions across the whole of the property sector. The BPF is uniquely placed to bring its diverse membership together to collaborate and share best practice, with a new net zero network launched to facilitate this co-operation.

Stuart Moore joins KPR 

KPR in Somerset has announced that Stuart Moore has joined the company as its new UK sales manager.

Moore, who will also manage KPR’s onboarding process, has plenty of experience within this industry, having previously worked for ARLA Propertymark.

According to Darren Clapp, CEO of KPR, Moore joins the firm following the release of the Willis platform.

He says that the new software is a state-of-the-art compliance and midterm manager, with the additional luxury of FFHH management and the automated Willis system.

“His [Moore’s] in-depth knowledge of lettings and compliance will be invaluable for the business, and our clients,” he said. “KPR has gone from strength to strength since the new release, and we are looking to grow by another 100k users within the year.”
