A new director role for the business, this appointment marks the continued expansion of the sales arm of the consultancy, which specialises in development and new homes sales and marketing services for registered providers, housing charities, local authorities and private developers.

O’Connor was previously head of sales at Hyde New Homes, the sales division of the Hyde Group, where he spent six years leading on sales for the housing association’s private sale, shared ownership, private and intermediate rental portfolios.

Prior to his position at Hyde, O’Connor enjoyed a varied career in estate agency.

He said: “Providing strategic advice to our clients, particularly in challenging and changing times, on current and future sales pipelines, is going to be a key aspect of my role.

“I look forward to working with a wide breadth of registered providers, developers and housing providers, as they launch new developments across the capital and beyond.”

Fine & Country continues to expand its presence in London

Fine & Country has announced the signing of several more licensees and property professionals across London over the past three months.

Fine & Country now has licensees in the capital covering Barnes, Belgravia, Bromley, Canary Wharf, Chelsea, Cockfosters, Esher, Fulham, Golders Green, Greenwich, Highgate, Holland Park, Islington, Loughton, Pall Mall, Putney, St Johns Wood, Stratford and Bow, Chiswick and of course Park Lane.

Daniel Harrington, London and international head of growth for Fine & Country, attributes the expansion to the recent recovery in the housing market, along with the brand’s strong network.

He said: “I think many agencies struggled during lockdown and were looking to partner with a strong, established brand that would help them break into the upper quartile of the market and provide them with valuable points of differentiation.

“Whilst they were already successful in the middle market, partnering with Fine & Country has given them the platform they need to be able to tap into the upper end of the market and diversify their revenue streams.

“Working with a large network with a substantial UK presence and international offices also opens up the opportunity for referrals both locally and abroad.”
