Acaboom appoints Suzanna Mavity to Board

Acaboom, the provider of market appraisal products for the estate agency sector, has announced that Suzanna Mavity has been promoted to the Board of Directors,.

Mavity has worked at Acaboom for two years and has been responsible for the company’s new client acquisition activities.

She previously held senior sales positions at Reapit and Brief Your Market and in 2019 won the Outstanding Achievement Award at EA Masters which recognised her charitable work; most specifically in helping to help raise over £150,000 for Huntingdon’s Disease for the ‘Do It For Dom’ campaign.

Brian Farrell, Acaboom’s founder, said of the appointment:

“Suzanna has been an invaluable member of the sales team during the last two years bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to the business. She has demonstrated an uncompromising amount of energy and dedication to delivering nothing less than the very highest standards of service and is the natural fit to sit within the board of directors to help drive Acaboom further.”

Mavity added:

“I am delighted to have joined the Board of Directors and look forward to assisting the business on a strategic level as well as continuing to push the company forward on the sales front. With the unique and market leading range of services Acaboom already offers, coupled with an exciting development plan of new services and features, this is a wonderful opportunity and I am very much looking forward to supporting the company at Board level.”

Housebuilders fundraise for West Country good causes

Housebuilders, Barratt and David Wilson Homes, have donated £24,000 to Devon charities to help support homeless people, young men at risk of suicide, and people in hospice care.

Barratt’s Exeter-based team raised £12,000 through a range of events and initiatives before the lockdown, which has now been doubled by Barratt Developments’ head office.

Funds are being distributed to YMCA Exeter, KingsCare, and Hospiscare, which supports people with life-limiting conditions and their families across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.

Nicki Reid, sales director for Barratt David Wilson Homes Exeter said:

“There’s probably no need to say what a difficult year 2020 has been for everyone, but certainly more so for some than others, which is why we’re delighted to make a positive contribution to the communities we live and build in. It’s wonderful to see that contribution doubled by the head office team in recognition of these vital causes that are close to the hearts of members of our team, and of their hard work fundraising.”
