Savills London has welcomed a new head of sales to its Brook Green office in west London.

Dominic Barry joins the firm having spent the last 10 years working in the residential property industry. He started his career in property during his gap year, working as a negotiator at Foxtons, before moving on to take on a role as a senior negotiator at Winkworth in Dulwich, a position he held for four and a half years.

More recently, Barry was with Marsh and Parsons where he spent six years working across three of the company’s offices. Starting his career at the firm’s Notting Hill office as a negotiator, worked his way up to manage the Earls Court office, before moving on to heading up the Fulham office out for two and a half years before joining Savills.

His new role at Savills will see him lead the tight knit sales team in Brook Green where he will focus on properties at all levels of the market, ranging from first-time buyer flats through to large family homes.

Christopher Bramwell, head of Savills West London, said: “Given his [Dominic Barry] level of experience and knowledge of the local markets, I am confident that he will continue to elevate sales and be a highly valued member of the wider west London region.”

Knight Frank announces strategic senior hire

Lucy Clifton

Knight Frank has bolstered its regional residential development team in the South East with the appointment of Lucy Clifton, who joins the firm as an associate.

Clifton will be based in Knight Frank’s Guildford office – one of the firm’s key strategic regional hubs.

As an associate in the new homes team, she will work with the wider team to manage the sales and marketing of new build developments in and around the South East. Schemes will include Royalton Residences’ Magna Carta Park; Waters Edge by Nicholas King Homes, and Octagon’s Hadfield Place.

Prior to joining Knight Frank, Clifton worked developer-side as a sales manager at Bloor Homes and, before that, Millgate Developments. Her remit involved launching new sites to the market – including writing strategic launch plans, overseeing market research, undertaking competitor analysis and coordinating marketing plans. In addition, she also managed a number of existing sites, working with sales agents – including Knight Frank – to ensure sales objectives were being achieved.

Laura Hackney, a partner and head of South East New Homes at Knight Frank, said: “We have ambitious growth plans over the next few years, and she brings an invaluable set of skills and experiences to the firm. Lucy’s track-record and in-depth understanding of the South East New Homes market will undoubtedly further strengthen our existing capabilities and enhance our offering to our developer partners.”

Earlier this year, Knight Frank announced that it was planning to grow its regional residential development business by 50% over the next five years, in response to increased demand for its services.

Mark Evans, head of regional residential development and investment at Knight Frank, added: “Regional property and development is going to drive the UK’s post-Covid-19 recovery over the coming years, and Knight Frank is perfectly placed to help landowners, housebuilders, developers and funders in the regions to deliver their plans.”
