Sprift, the property data specialist, has appointed Craig Stirk as chief data officer.

In his role, Stirk is responsible for acquiring, managing and exploiting data ethically and compliantly for the benefit of Sprift and its clients.

Having previously worked with large data holding organisations, including British Gas, Stirk has spent his entire career turning data into stories to help people make better decisions.

Matt Gilpin, CEO at Sprift, said: “I’d like to welcome Craig into the Sprift team; he is already making real strides into the world of property data – helping to support our clients and partners, but also our growth during these information-rich times. Data has the power to deliver real benefits to our industry and beyond.”

Stirk commented: “So much data is locked up in silos, this is especially the case in the property sector. We need to play our role in integrating the vast swathes of facts and figures and finding new answers to difficult property questions that will help the property industry, as well as related sectors. Decisions are more easily made where there is less risk through comprehensive data.”

Joseph Rajah, founder and CEO of Joseph Homes comments, “Having known Dominic for over a decade, I’m really pleased that we have appointed him onto our strategic board. He has a shared alignment towards good quality homes and the impact that creative innovation can have in the advancement of the built environment.

“His strategic approach to how we achieve this, will add another texture to our growing team. As a business, we are focused on how the homes and spaces we build, can deliver solutions to climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution levels, ultimately to generate a groundswell of action for a sustainable future for all.”

Grace commented: “There is a revolutionary buzz around Joseph Homes, and the opportunity to provide strategic direction and friendly debate to push the business to the next level is an exciting prospect. This is a business well versed in the environmental threats we face and the responsibility the built environment holds in supporting the country towards a net zero future. I am absolutely delighted to be working with such a dynamic team.”
