Justin Stanton

Marsh & Parsons has appointed Justin Stanton as its new marketing director.

Stanton will lead the marketing activity for the London-based agency’s portfolio of 33 offices.

He brings with him a wealth of experience having led the marketing, sales and PR for premium travel brands over the course of nearly two decades.

One of his first projects on joining Marsh & Parsons has been to support the creative team in the development and promotion of a Euros-centred advertising campaign. A series of ads have been developed at high speed to capitalise on events during the tournament, aligning with the positive public sentiment England’s success has generated.

Stanton commented: “Having admired Marsh & Parsons’ impactful, iconic brand advertising campaigns since they first started, I am absolutely delighted to be joining such a superb company that truly recognises the impact that high-quality, effective advertising can have on business success.

“I am very much looking forward to building on Marsh & Parsons’ marketing capabilities to further develop the promotion of both the business and the brand.”

Parker’s Estate Agents appoints new director

Andrew Simmonds and Juliet Noble

Andrew Simmonds has joined Parker’s Estate Agents in Backwell, North Somerset, as a board director.

He joins experienced long serving director Juliet Noble, who has lived in Backwell for many years. Virginia Madan has retired from the firm after more than 30 years in estate agency.

Welcoming Simmonds to the business, Noble said: “It is great to attract someone of Andrew’s calibre and experience to Parker’s and he has the enthusiasm and drive to help us ensure we keep improving our service to the residential property market in the area.”

Simmonds, who is an associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, has worked in the residential property sector since 2005. He has most recently worked with developers on sales strategies for new build homes and was previously managing director of one of the region’s largest businesses managing apartment blocks for private landlords.

He commented: “There is such a diverse range of properties in Nailsea, Backwell and the other North Somerset villages and it is an attractive place for people to live. My aim is to build upon the already strong reputation that Parker’s has built, since it was founded by Tim Parker in 1989 and give local people the service they need and deserve.

“North Somerset is a fantastic place to live and work which gives it a lively property scene. We know that every property placed with us for sale or rent deserves attention to detail so that we can help people move with the minimum of fuss.”

Derek Hudson joins Burrington Estates as head of digital transformation

Burrington Estates has appointed Derek Hudson in the newly created role, head of digital transformation.

Derek Hudson

The housebuilder says it wants to focus on exploiting new technologies to improve its product, customer experience and internal business processes. It is the vision of the company’s co-founder Mark Edworthy to grow the Exeter-based firm into the ‘Tesla of housebuilding’ by maximising digital technology across all areas of the business.

Hudson joins Burrington Estates having previously established his own web design and digital consultancy, during which he helped Burrington with several tech-focused projects. His career in the digital sector followed more than 30 years as an army officer.

The scope of Derek’s new role will include developing an innovative new online customer journey, improving the sales process and allowing home buyers to see the progress of their home being built in real time.

In the future purchasers will be able to choose their fixtures and fittings online and eventually be able to configure their new homes through realistic 3D graphics. Hudson will also be responsible for overseeing a new website and improved digital marketing capability to give customers a more immersive experience, as well as using technology to improve the company’s efficiency.

Another part of Hudson’s remit will be to oversee the continued improvement of the smart technology available in the homes Burrington builds.

Hudson said: “Technology has a huge role to play in the future of housebuilding, so I’m really excited about joining Burrington Estates and making sure we are genuinely harnessing new technology to make things better.

“There are many ways we can use online capabilities to improve the whole customer experience, making the sales process smoother and using data and analytics to better understand what our customers want, so that we can deliver a more individually tailored product based on real needs. It’s refreshing to be part of a dynamic and forward-looking business with a passion to innovate in order to provide a better product.”
