Boss of Douglas & Gordon on the move

A residential property linked to Brewham Holding Limited, a company set-up last month by Douglas & Gordon chief executive James Evans, has been listed for sale at £3.5m.

Evans purchased Douglas & Gordon for £515,000 from administrators this month, through the enterprise he set up last month registered to his home, near Bruton in Somerset, which he bought two years ago for £3m.

The registered office address has since changed – two weeks ago – from Oakwood Farm, North Brewham, Bruton, BA10 0JW, to Paradise Walk, 41 Paradise Walk, London, SW3 4JL.

James Evans’ home has been listed for sale at £3.5m with Lodestone Property.

The listing said: “Oakwood Farm is a magnificent contemporary family house constructed to the highest standards by the Green Oak company based in Sussex.

“This beautiful property combines the very best elements of contemporary living and economic efficiency with the finest building materials that include limestone, local Doulting stone and both English and French green oak.

“With imaginative interior design and generous living spaces, the atmosphere is one of understated luxury, ideal for entertaining and functioning as a wonderful family home.”

Administrators this week published a report on insolvency of Douglas & Gordon.

PLEASE NOTE: The Rightmove listing was removed this morning (10.30am on 22/03/2023) by the estate agent (potentially at the vendor’s request). It showed that the property in question is being marketed for sale at an asking price of £3.5m.

This reads terribly. Pity the ex staff & numerous D&G creditors: I imagine that ‘understated luxury’ may be off their agendas for some time to come. Shame.
