Beresfords launches campaign to tackle food poverty

Beresfords has launched a ‘Food and Thought Appeal’ campaign to tackle food poverty across Essex this winter, which will run throughout 2023.

The Essex-based estate agency is inviting its employees and the local community to donate non-perishable items, tinned or dry food, to one of its 17 drop-off points across its branch network, from Sunday 1 January to Sunday 31 December 2023.

Beresfords’ branches are located in Billericay, Braintree, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Colchester, Gidea Park, Great Dunmow, Harold Wood, Hornchurch, Ingatestone, Maldon, Shenfield, Upminster, Witham, Writtle and London, as well as a head office in Chelmsford.

The donations will then be distributed to local food banks nearby to each of the branches.

Paul Beresford, chief executive officer of Beresfords, said: “We are fully committed to helping, where we can, in tackling food poverty across Essex and we believe everyone should have access to a nutritional and balanced diet.

“Throughout 2023, we will be raising awareness and calling on our communities to help those who are most in need. When you are next shopping if you could please spare a thought for someone that could benefit from your kindness, it will make a difference to many lives.”
