Benham and Reeves poised to become London’s biggest letting agency

Benham and Reeves Residential Lettings believes it is about to become London’s largest independent letting agency with the opening of its 13th office.

The new London Dock branch will be on the old News International headquarters in Wapping – the scene of protracted clashes between police and printers back in the eighties as Rupert Murdoch was smashing the power of the print unions.

Now the 15-acre site close to the Tower of London is being transformed by developers St George into a scheme which will eventually have 1,800 homes, a swimming pool and spa, squash court, screening room and virtual golf course.

Benham and Reeves is planning further expansion and will open a 14th office in September in Surrey Quays.

The firm also plans to open a branch in Fulham Reach later this year, plus a new office at Kew Bridge.

Lettings director Marc von Grundherr said: “While some of our competitors are closing offices and just operating through a website, we feel there is nothing like face-to-face contact and a handshake.

“These new offices will allow us to ensure customer service is always at the forefront. Many of these new offices are also located on-site at large St George developments where tenant demand is high.

“By being on-site, we will be better able to respond to tenants’ needs quickly.”

Very impressive.  Can’t find their “fees to landlords” page on their website though.

Congratulations to BRLets.  Excellent to see quality agents bucking the trend and expanding for more local presence.  So vital for landlords to get local knowledge
