Apartment in Nine Elms up for ‘urgent sale’ after price cut

A sign of the times?

First marketed three years ago off-plan at £1.175m, this two-bedroom apartment close to Battersea Power Station is now for “urgent sale” at £1.1m.

The lucky – and rich – buyer can complete on the property with its “elite” specification and “dinning” facility straightaway.

We wonder whether they will be paying the full asking price in an area said by some critics to be as over-developed as it is over-priced.

Bad news for someone; £1,175,000 in 2013 is worth about  £905,000 in that neck of the woods right now.  Just because someone convinced the buyer the place was worth £1,175,000 it doesn’t mean it was.

We have new luxury waterfront townhouses in a marina being sold by the same developer for £30000 less than they were 10 years ago. Why is it only a story when it happens to the poor luvvies in London.
