Agents offered free trial of new prospecting tool designed to integrate with CRM systems

Agents are being offered a free trial of a new prospecting tool.

It is the brainchild of former LSL estate agency director David Newnes, in conjunction with proptech entrepreneur Damon Bullimore.

BuildYourMarket aims to “solve the disconnect between on-market and CRM data”.

A spin-off from BriefYourMarket, of which Newnes is a backer and non-executive director, it leverages an agent’s own local market knowledge, their historic customer data, and on-market property movement.

The busy Newnes “retired” in 2014 and has since gone on to found National Home Move, which franchises 39 Your Move and Reeds Rains branches.

He said of BuildYourMarket: “It’s like having an additional member of the team in the branch totally focused on prospecting who is never on holiday, never off sick, never too busy, but at a fraction of the cost.”

The software searches across multiple data sources for new instructions coming on to the market together with changes in status – price change, failed sale, etc – and presents this information in a dashboard.

The data integrates with agents’ own CRM systems and so enables agents to see if the new seller is registered as one of their buyers or if they previously carried out a valuation.

The system then allows the agent to select an automated contact pattern – or control it manually – using letters and canvassing cards where the agent doesn’t have the seller’s data, or email and SMS where they are already registered with the agent.

Bullimore, who has worked on the new product for over a year, said: “We wanted to give our agents a single platform where they can see every active seller, every new or missed opportunity or instruction – and that’s what we’ve achieved.”

Agents are invited to trial the product free until the end of January, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Wow. How does this work with expert agent? I thought their data was off limits.

I work for s1homes and we have a similar software that comes with all bundles – really useful for knowing exactly were leads come from (including other portals) and in turn good for email marketing.

Yes, Expert Agent is one of the ten CRM partners that we work with at BYM. Meaning that with BuildYourMarket, you can gain a true understanding of all activity in your local area matched against your own database of customers.
If you’re interested in the free trial, get in touch via our website.
      Many thanks,

Monthly fees are based on your postcode sectors, with any print costs based on usage.
We’d be happy to discuss this with you if you’d like to get in touch.
      Many thanks,

I used to be with BYM but always worried someone who has access to my CRM would share/sell my data to other agents or use it against me.

Looks like I might have been right.

We actually host our agents’ data in entirely separate locations, so there is no instance where that would ever be the case.
BuildYourMarket uses multiple data sources to provide its accurate overview of your local area. Your CRM data – and only your CRM data – is then mapped onto that on-market information on an agent-by-agent basis.
Where a full address could not be obtained, we’ll give you that partial property profile. If you know the missing information, you can then complete it and either keep it to yourself or choose to share it for a print credit reward.
We’re ICO registered, with DPA at the forefront of our mind, so we take every precaution when handling customer data.
In summary, your data is very safe and would never be shared.
If you have any remaining questions, please reach out.
      Many thanks,
      Paul | BYM

When I read the phrase “please reach out”, I am overwhelmed by the stench of bullish£t

Just my personal view, based on every time that phrase has been pumped out in pr, emails etc

You may be an outstanding fellow Paul, however your “reach out” has me reaching for that Brown Paper Airline Bag
