Agents market rare city centre home with a difference – and throw in an extra

When it comes to helping people move home, the team at estate agents Linley & Simpson don’t let the grass grow under their feet.

The firm’s Leeds city centre office has just sold a waterside property.

It was on the market with an asking price of £180,000 and very quickly snapped up.

The two-bedroomed flat has its own enclosed garden – a rarity in the centre of Leeds.

Linley & Simpson sales manager Andy Bonner said: “Out of 10,000 properties in the heart of the city centre, I can think of only one other that has its own private garden space.

“We were inundated with requests for viewings.”

With a sale secured in double-quick time, the branch will not only be handing over the keys of the property to the successful buyers.

It will also be giving them a free lawnmower, as promised in the marketing campaign.

It all seemed like such a good idea at the time – particularly as lawnmowers don’t cost much – until Bonner and branch manager Lauren Kyle (pictured) tried to assemble it!
