Agents caught in flagrante led to TPO complaint

A pair of estate agents who used a client’s home for sexual activity while the vendors were on holiday led to a complaint to the Property Ombudsman.

The agents, working for an unnamed firm, were discovered in flagrante when a member of the family owning the property turned up unexpectedly.

The owners complained, but while the agents were fired, the firm refused to accept liability for their actions.

However, the ombudsman upheld the complaint, saying that the company had failed in its duty of care.

There are more stories here courtesy of the Daily Mail, including undisclosed bodies and ghosts, and a rather sad case about an agent who put up a For Sale sign to greet guests returning for a post-funeral wake.

I was once asked to do a short notice probate valuation for executors so they could get back to London. "Sorry Robert you can't go in that bedroom the undertaker hasn't been yet"
