StayRight has expanded its presence in the short-term rental sector with the acquisition of Cohost Partners, in one of the largest independent short-term rental management deals completed in South Wales.

Founded by Matthew Lowe and later joined by Fran Brazil following Cohost Partners’ own acquisition, the business grew into one of the region’s largest short-let management operators.

The acquisition builds on StayRight’s expansion strategy and follows its earlier purchase of Just Stay Wales, further strengthening its managed portfolio across South Wales.

The transaction represents another phase of consolidation in the growing short-term rental management market, as operators look to increase scale and expand their regional coverage.

Zac Ratcliffe, director of StayRight, said: “Being a Cohost competitor, it was a natural acquisition, and we are looking forward to the continued growth and success of StayRight as Wales’ biggest independent management company.”
Leon Gorman, director of Think Acquisition, which brokered the deal, commented: “Serviced accommodation businesses can be complex to value and structure, with lots of moving parts. This transaction marked our fourth completion in this sector in a 12-month period, and we’re keen to continue servicing this ever-changing industry.”
