Agents at Lettings Live 2016 saw new tech released by both Fixflo and Property Software Group.
In an interesting strategic move Property Software Group (PSG), now owned by Zoopla, has launched a communication tool for landlords and tenants called MyPropertyFile.
PSG sales director James Toogood talked up their offering post-Zoopla acquisition as the “only end-to-end solution in the market.”
MyPropertyFile is currently only available to Jupix customers and will roll out across other PSG software packages in due course.
Rajeev Nayyar of Fixflo – which has partnered with every major software provider with the exception of PSG – claims that Fixflo has over 3,500 lettings offices using the Fixflo system to manage over 380,000 homes across the UK.
The Fixflo stand at Lettings Live 2016 was second only to Rightmove’s in terms of traffic.
Alongside their core offering, a demo of a new system called Letflo was available to view.
Nayyar explained that “Lettings agents have suffered from a barrage of new regulation and legislation and every time the law changes, they spend more and they earn less.”
Letflo’s website says it exists to help agents “navigate the minefield of Section 21 compliance” and Nayyar added the system “is designed to help agents to comply with the law, show they’ve complied and boost their bottom line.”
According to Nayyar the system has “just entered beta testing and launches in September”.

Please clarify if this is Fixflo deciding not to work with PSG (that would be a bit mad) or whether PSG wouldn’t work with Fixflo (even more mad)
Fixflo is the right product, at the right time, with the right people having the right attitude towards agents. Good service supply isn’t about doing everything, it is about excelling at the bits you do well and leaving to bits you struggle with to someone else.
Someone might also clarify why effectively ZPG is effectively blocking a supply channel for its PSG customers to a product they (Zoopla) recently backed. It makes sense for the two products to duke it out and let the best one win otherwise an untested product is given unfair advantage over an established one for no logical reason. Let agents, landlords and tenants decide which they prefer.
Perhaps it’s too early for me to get my head around this but it all seems bonkers, well done Rayhan; you’ve got me beat with this story.

Zoopla does have a partnership with Fixflo, so anything positive is possible.
