Connells Group recognise best-performing agents with ‘top achievers’ trip to Spain

Connells Group’s ‘Shine’ annual management conference and awards ceremony, which recently took place at MK Dons Stadium in Milton Keynes, was attended by more than 450 employees from across the estate agency network – Connells, Countrywide and Sequence.

Under the theme of ‘Shine’, the conference highlighted the achievements of the combined group with a trading update, followed by a number of presentations showcasing key focuses and initiatives for the future, how colleagues will be supported to ‘shine’ in 2023 and an inspirational session from guest speaker Floyd Woodrow.

The event concluded with its award ceremony, where more than 200 colleagues were rewarded for their continued excellence with an all-expenses-paid trip to La Manga in June.

The inaugural launch of the Stephen Shipperley Estate Agent of the Year Award – Connells group chairman Stephen Shipperley retired at the end of 2022 – awarded to Connells Wolverhampton senior local director Lee Cooke; plus the Countrywide Newcomer of the Year Award delivered to Bridgfords Marple branch negotiator Christopher Nay and the Michael O’Flaherty Award given to Barnard Marcus Epsom branch negotiator Matt Turk.

David Plumtree, Connells Group Estate Agency chief executive, said: “It was fantastic to bring so many of our colleagues together to share our successes and plans to grasp every opportunity in 2023. Our presentations were all geared towards how we can shine personally and professionally to make the most of this year, and how we can inspire each other to achieve excellent results.

“Well done to all those who were recognised at this event for their outstanding contribution in 2022, many of whom will be jetting off to La Manga on our Top Achievers trip.”
