Foxtons has appointed Gareth Atkins as new managing director – lettings. He will succeed Ed Phillips who is leaving the company after 20 years to take a new role as group chief executive at Lomond.
Atkins, who joined Foxtons in 2003, is currently the group’s area director for the North and West London region, a role he has occupied for the last six years.
As group area director, Atkins has managed several offices, including Hampstead, Chiswick and the opening of the Wembley office.
He joined Foxtons as a lettings negotiator in Battersea before progressing to the role of lettings manager in South and West London.
With almost 20 years both at Foxtons and in the London lettings market, Atkins has a comprehensive understanding of the Foxtons operation.
Foxtons CEO, Nic Budden, said: “He [Atkins] has, for the last 10 years, been a key member of the senior management team and has done an outstanding job managing our North and West London region. His leadership skills, specialist lettings knowledge and understanding of the business made him the outstanding candidate for this role and he is ideally suited to drive continued growth in our lettings business, which is the market leader in London.
“Ed has been a key driving force behind the Foxtons lettings division for 20 years and I would like to thank him for his dedication and commitment to the business. I wish him all the best for the future.”
