Virtual reality comes to Fine & Country

Fine & Country is the latest agent to start offering virtual reality viewings.

It is offering virtual reality viewings to visitors at its new Birmingham office, where they can view properties across the entire UK Fine & Country network

Fine & Country plans to roll out more in-store viewing areas as well as software compatible with headsets at home. It has already got the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Carl Rice, to have a go. See the image below.

Viewings will also be made available as a ‘tilt and rotate’ option on any smart phone via YouTube and Facebook 360 video.

Sean Newman, of Fine & Country, said: “Virtual reality is becoming more influential in all aspects of commerce and I am sure that others will want to follow our lead.

“This method of operation is now rolling out as an option across the entire Fine & Country network and gives our clients a real advantage in selling their property.”

Alex Harvey, founder of Infinite Pixel, which designed the agent’s virtual reality tours, said: “The power of virtual reality to truly immerse people within an environment allows clients to get a feel for what a home is really like in a way that traditional printed brochures or online listings simply cannot.

“It’s incredibly engaging and a lot of fun for couples to enjoy a virtual viewing simultaneously, and while this is a pioneering system for Fine & Country, we expect that virtual viewings will rapidly become a standard step in house hunters’ search for their dream home.”

The move follows several other agents who have launched virtual reality tours such as Foxtons, Walton & Allen and Urban Spaces.
