Winkworth announces third office opening of 2018 as it confirms one closure elsewhere

Winkworth has confirmed the closure of one of its offices in Lincoln and the separate opening of a new offering in Brentford.

The agency franchise network has said its Lincoln office has closed as it has been merged with its Sleaford agency 17 miles away which is owned by the same franchisee.

A spokesman told EYE: “The physical Lincoln office has closed as our Lincoln and Sleaford offices, which are owned by the same franchisee, have been consolidated.

“All staff and properties from Winkworth Lincoln have been retained and the business will be continued from the Sleaford office.”

Meanwhile, Winkworth has launched a new office in Brentford, west London.

The office is headed up by George Franks, who currently runs five other Winkworth offices and is the network’s third office opening this year.

Franks said: “It’s great to be a part of Winkworth’s continued growth and to have the opportunity to help grow this sub-network of offices at the same time.

“We have been very much looking forward to opening the Brentford office, and we are excited to start servicing the local property market. With lots happening in the area, including the regeneration of the high street, there are many affordable new builds popping up. We have already received a great deal of enquiries, and I have every confidence in the team we have in place to serve the local home moving community.”

Winkworth now has around 100 offices across the UK within its 89-strong franchise network.

I know the one close to me has been for sale last few years with no luck. They are basically giving it away!

smile please – which area are you in, as I know one of the franchisees is selling up, but also makes sense that the one in Enfield has closed down
