Winkworth in Sheffield has changed hands after the franchise owner, Tony Snarey, retired at the age of 75.

The new owners are Crucible Sales & Lettings, whose parent company is South Yorkshire Housing Association.

Crucible’s profits go back into the local community via the association.

Crucible managing director Phil Price, a Sheffield estate agent for over 20 years, said he would be changing nothing about Winkworth other than the name.

He said: “This is a tremendously successful business and therefore I see no reason to change anything else.”
