Crumbs! Winkworth advises customers to go and take a walk

Winkworth is offering clients a free opportunity to try out a new interactive app called Crumbs.

Crumbs consists of a collection of walks designed to uncover some of London’s unexpected sights and hidden enclaves.

Players discover the route by finding and answering multiple-choice questions
based on clues found on the streets of the city including buildings’ architectural features, commemorative plaques, sculptures and so on.

Trivia questions, based on interesting titbits about the area, are spread throughout each trail and, for an extra challenge, players can hunt for hidden “gems”.

The aim of the app is to make a game of the process of getting to know a new area of town.

For Winkworth house hunters moving to a new location, the app facilitates a lighthearted introduction to a new community that may also assist their property search.

Crumbs founder Mark Fletcher said: “We are very pleased that Winkworth share our enthusiasm for exploring London’s nooks and crannies and discovering its hidden gems.”

James Peacock, Winkworth head of brand, said: “We are delighted to be part of this new initiative as Crumbs launches their app to the London market. From the outset we could see that the app’s brand message sits extremely well with our own.

“As well as offering something fun and unusual to our clients, Crumbs reinforces our key messages of spotting the little things that others miss.”

The app is initially launching with over 30 trails in London (and five in Paris) and new Crumbs trails will be released in other international cities on an ongoing basis.

In London, the objective is to release trails starting at all Zone 1 stations by the end of the year.

Trails will normally be priced at £2.29 on the App Store and £1.89 on Google Play.

I really like this idea and I think it could catch on – like an adult version of Pokémon-Go but which actually has some use! Nice one WW, a great incentive to allow buyers to interact with new areas.
