The Guild’s keynote speaker to reflect on Brexit, pandemic and stamp duty

What impact has the coronavirus pandemic, Brexit and the current stamp duty holiday, which is due to end at the end of next month, had on the housing market? How will these issues affect your business over the next few months?

US sales expert Mark Hunter will reflect on these matters, plus other issues, when he takes part in The Guild of Property Professionals virtual conference next week.

Hunter, also commonly referred to in the sales world as the ‘The Sales Hunter’ , has been confirmed as keynote speaker at The Guild’s virtual conference titled Stronger Together, which will be held on Friday 19th February at 4pm.

Throughout this career, Hunter has held multiple sales and leadership roles with three Fortune 500 companies. It is this experience that provided the foundation for him to create the name ‘The Sales Hunter’ more than 20 years ago, starting him on the journey of consulting, speaking and writing about sales.

Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals, said: “We are excited to have Mark join us for a 30min live presentation at our virtual conference. His knowledge and experience within the sales sector will be invaluable to Guild Members looking to increase their sales and market share this year.

“Mark’s talk will be around the climate that we as property professionals find ourselves in at the moment, as a result of the pandemic, Brexit and stamp duty, to name a few of the major aspects that have influenced the market and industry.

“Regardless of whether you are an agent with a single office or a member with 30 offices, we are all still impacted by the current environment; however, it is important to remember that no-one is alone, and we are stronger together at a network.”

McKenzie notes that the agenda of this year’s conference will be very simple, comprising of an overview of 2020 and the vision for 2021, the presentation from  Hunter, and then onto the awards and recognising the achievements of Guild Members throughout 2020.

He added: “As always this conference will be an opportunity to recognise Guild Members who have excelled in various categories during 2020. In a Eurovision style awards ceremony, we will be presenting a number of awards to both sales and lettings agents, which includes reviews received from their clients using the ESTAs platform.

“The Guild works with best-in-class agents who operate at the highest possible levels of professionalism and service. At the conference we will acknowledge and honour Guild Members who continue to go above and beyond for their clients and the industry.”
