The DPS is once again hosting a series of free dispute webinars to enable letting agents and landlords to navigate the dispute resolution process.
More than 2,000 attendees have already signed up for the 60-minute webinars, which are open both to customers of The DPS and other deposit protection providers and are taking place on 22 and 29 April as well as 6 May.
- Thursday 22 April: evidence information needed for a dispute, how to best gather and prepare it, as well as the principles adjudicators use to reach a conclusion
- Thursday 29 April: errors landlords commonly make that can affect a dispute outcome
- Thursday 6 May: review of real-life examples of dispute evidence to test knowledge
Matt Trevett, managing director at The DPS, said: “We always recommend landlords and letting agents maintain an open dialogue with tenants and come to their own agreement when a tenancy ends.
“However, adjudication is sometimes necessary, and during these webinars our legally-trained team of adjudicators will provide the practical information that landlords and agents need to take part in the process effectively.
“Our popular online dispute events are part of our ongoing commitment to supporting landlords, agents and tenants during the coronavirus pandemic, including with free, high quality and practical information and training.”
More than 3,000 people registered for The DPS’ dispute webinars last year, according to the organisation.
The DPS said it was planning to host another webinar series during the Summer and Autumn to cater for high demand.
The DPS said attendees can sign up to one or more of the webinars by clicking here.
